<p>Mit gmdate() kann man sich eine GMT-Zeitangabe formatieren und auswerten<br>

lassen. Die Funktion entspricht der Funktion date() (siehe Seite 235),

aber mit<br>

einem gravierenden Unterschied: Sie gibt nicht Informtationen über
|
||
|
|
die Ortszeit<br>
|
||
|
|
zurück, sondern über die entsprechende GMT-Zeit.<br>
|
||
|
|
Steht der Server in Deutschland (GMT + 01:00), wird als Zeitangabe Greenwich<br>
|
||
|
|
Mean Time zurückgegeben, also die Ortszeit minus einer Stunde.</p>
